Overview Looking for an experienced full time CNC Mill/Lathe Programmer, Set-up, Machinist. Duties Experience programming Mastercam or Edgecam. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure precise machining operations. Set up machining tools, fixtures, and tooling based on engineering drawings and manufacturing requirements to optimize machining processes. Conduct precision measurement using bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other measurement instruments to verify part quality. Perform machine calibration, tool offsets, and adjustments to maintain tight tolerances and high-quality standards in metal machining. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement lean manufacturing principles for improved efficiency and waste reduction. Troubleshoot machining issues related to programming or tooling on CNC equipment such as Fanuc controls or other automation systems. Skills Extensive experience programming CNC machines with Fanuc controls or similar automation systems. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and schematic interpretation for accurate manufacturing setups. Knowledge of CAM software for generating efficient toolpaths for CNC milling machines and lathes. Mechanical knowledge combined with expertise in metal machining processes such as electrical discharge machining (EDM) and precision measurement techniques. Familiarity with CNC tooling selection, setup procedures, and geometry considerations for complex parts. Ability to interpret engineering schematics and translate them into effective machining programs while adhering to quality control standards using measurement instruments like micrometers and bore gauges. $27.94 - $33.65 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
