About Us KVA Jomar Induction is a small, specialty manufacturer of induction hardening coils and tooling for automotive OEM and Tier 1 customers. We're a 13-person shop where every part is different, your work ships directly to customers, and your input actually shapes how the shop runs. The Role You'll own the CNC side of the shop — programming, setting up, and running our 3-axis and Haas UMC 5-axis machines on low-volume, high-mix work. Most jobs are one-offs or small batches with tight tolerances, so you'll be solving a new problem most days. What You'll Do Program parts in CAM from 3D models and prints, and run them on 3-axis mills and Haas UMC 5-axis mills (3+2 and simultaneous) Set up fixturing, workholding, and tooling for one-off and short-run jobs Hold tolerances to +0.002/-0.000 on copper, brass, and steel components Prep your own stock, inspect your own parts, and hand off clean work to assembly Work closely with engineering and coil builders to improve manufacturability What You Bring 3+ years CNC mill experience; strong 3-axis programming and setup, with 5-axis experience or the ability to learn it (Haas UMC a plus) Able to program independently in CAM (Mastercam, Fusion 360, or similar) Comfortable in a job-shop environment — changeovers, short runs, no two jobs alike Solid with measuring tools and reading models/prints Reliable, communicates with the team, and takes ownership of the schedule Nice to Have Experience machining copper or other non-ferrous materials Background in tooling, fixtures, or prototype work Interest in growing into a lead or training role What We Offer Competitive pay: $32-$40/hr [Health / dental / vision] [PTO and paid holidays] [401(k) / other] Steady 1st shift, [7:00 AM-3:30 PM] Small-team environment with direct access to leadership
