Job Description
SMW is an established machining and fabricating business that has been servicing our customers for over 34 years and is experiencing strong growth and is looking to add a first shift CNC Machinist.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
- Program, set-up, and machine components to print (work with drawings) including specific quality requirements.
- Previous experience programming/operating Milltronics or Equivalent CNC mills and/or lathes Required
- Edit CNC programs
- Meet specified tolerance requirements per print
- Must have own tools related to metal working - micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Read and use blueprints to make parts accurately
- Inspect parts and recognize defects
- Knowledge of G-codes, M-codes, Milltronics Conversational, Gibbs and Fusion
- Experience machining different types of materials a plus - mild steel, tool steel, stainless, composites, plastic, aluminum.
- Average of 45-50 Hours/week (workload dependent)
