NC PROGRAMMER - CNC
LatheDirect Hire1st shift •80-95k depending on experience Our client develops and manufactures jet engines for both military and commercial aircraft applications. They have engaged Qualified to assist in their search for a NC Programmer to join their team. The Programmer will be responsible for developing and implementing advanced manufacturing solutions for gas turbine components using state-of-the-art CNC equipment and software tools.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Creating and optimizing NC programs using Siemens NX for complex machining operations on mill-turn machines, 2-axis lathes, and other CNC lathes and mills as requiredValidating NC programs virtually through machine simulationPerforming on-machine program validation and optimizationCNC grinding experience is preferred.

Collaborating with design engineers to enhance part designs for manufacturabilityParticipating in equipment installation, runoff and production startup activitiesOther job related duties as required
QUALIFICATIONS
High School Diploma or GED5 years of experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment developing NC programs5 years of NC programming experience using CAM softwareProficiency in 3D CAD software and demonstrated understanding of CAD principles and GD&TPrevious hands-on experience machining is a plus Experience creating process related work instruction documentationFundamental understanding of machining work holding strategy, cutting tool selection, and gaging selectionExperience working with aerospace alloys and hardened steel alloys preferredIntermediate to advanced level of proficiency with Microsoft Office software toolsAbility to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches). Capable of pushing or pulling 60 pounds. Grip strength of at least 50 pounds. Ability to reach above shoulder height (65 inches)U.S. Citizenship is requiredPosition requires the ability to obtain a U. S. Government Security Clearance, if needed.
