About the Role We are seeking a skilled CNC Lathe Machinist to join our specialized prototype manufacturing team. You will leverage your expertise in Mazak and Mazatrol systems to transform complex designs into high-precision components, ensuring our rapid development cycles remain on track. Responsibilities Develop and execute CNC programs for lathes to produce high-quality tooling and intricate prototypes. Perform comprehensive machine setups, including the precise calibration of offsets using touch probes, test indicators, and edge finders. Ensure all raw materials and tooling are verified and staged prior to production to maximize operational efficiency. Execute precision machining tasks to meet demanding tight-tolerance specifications. Validate component integrity throughout the production process using advanced measurement tools such as micrometers, telescoping gauges, and digital calipers. Maintain a focus on continuous improvement by optimizing machining strategies for prototype development. Qualifications Required Skills High school diploma or equivalent educational background. Demonstrated proficiency in programming and operating CNC Lathe equipment. Hands-on experience with Mazak machinery and Mazatrol control systems. Strong ability to interpret technical drawings and apply geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Preferred Skills Prior experience working within a prototype or R&D machining environment. Advanced troubleshooting skills for complex mechanical or programming issues. Proven track record of maintaining high quality standards in a fast-paced production setting.
