We are seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Programmer/Machinist to independently program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC lathes to produce precision components. The ideal candidate will possess strong machining knowledge, sound technical judgment, and the ability to take a job from print through programming, setup, inspection, and production. Essential Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate Mazak CNC lathes. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T specifications. Determine appropriate tooling, workholding methods, machining sequences, speeds, feeds, and offsets. Produce precision components in accordance with dimensional and quality requirements. Perform in-process and final inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, indicators, and other precision measuring equipment. Troubleshoot programming, tooling, part setup, dimensional, and machining issues. Monitor tool wear and make necessary program, tooling, and machine adjustments. Perform routine machine maintenance and identify equipment requiring repair. Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production personnel to resolve issues and improve machining processes. Proactively identify opportunities to improve quality, cycle time, workflow, and manufacturing efficiency. Maintain a clean and safe work environment and follow applicable safety and

procedures. Perform other related machining and production duties as needed. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of CNC lathe machining experience , including independent machine setup and operation. At least 2 years of hands-on Mazak programming and setup experience or equivalent demonstrated proficiency with Mazak controls. Demonstrated ability to take a machining job from print through programming, setup, first-piece inspection, and production . Strong knowledge of CNC machining principles, tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining practices. Proficiency in blueprint reading, GD&T, and precision measurement. Working knowledge of shop mathematics, including decimals, fractions, geometry, and tolerances. High school diploma or GED required; additional technical or vocational training in CNC machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently. Ability to anticipate production needs and proactively identify potential problems. Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Preferred Qualifications Five or more years of CNC lathe programming and machining experience. Advanced experience with Mazak lathes and Mazatrol controls. Experience in a high-mix, precision machining or job-shop environment. Physical Qualifications Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and regularly bend, reach, stoop, and move around CNC equipment. Ability to safely lift and carry parts, tooling, and materials weighing up to 50 pounds , with assistance or lifting equipment when appropriate. Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination necessary for machine setup, tooling changes, measurement, and inspection. Ability to visually inspect parts and accurately read measuring instruments, machine displays, and technical drawings. Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, metal chips, cutting fluids, oils, and noise. Compensation Hourly rate based on experience and demonstrated technical proficiency.
