Job Description
We're looking for a skilled Engineering Technician / CNC Programmer to support the manufacture of high-precision components in a regulated production environment. Based onsite in the Minneapolis area, you'll play a key role in programming, setting up, and operating CNC machinery while driving quality, efficiency, and continuous process improvement. Key Responsibilities Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for precision-machined components. Set up CNC machines, tooling, and fixtures to support production requirements. Monitor machining operations, making adjustments as needed to maintain quality and maximize efficiency. Interpret engineering drawings, CAD models, and manufacturing documentation to ensure components are produced to specification. Work closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Production teams to resolve machining challenges and improve manufacturing processes. Support new product introductions by developing machining processes and assisting with production readiness. Inspect finished components using precision measuring equipment to verify dimensional accuracy and compliance with specifications. Maintain accurate production records while following company quality systems and regulatory requirements. Promote a safe, organized, and efficient manufacturing environment. Required Experience & Skills Previous experience programming and operating CNC equipment within a precision manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of G-code programming, machining practices, and CNC setup. Familiarity with CAD/CAM software and multi-axis machining techniques. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications. Experience using inspection equipment such as calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and other precision measurement tools. Proven problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot machining, tooling, and equipment issues. Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams. Experience working within regulated industries such as medical devices, aerospace, or other highly controlled manufacturing environments is highly desirable. Technical certification, associate degree, or equivalent hands-on experience in Manufacturing Technology, CNC Machining, or a related discipline.
