Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer with hands-on experience in Swiss-@type machining to join our precision manufacturing team. This individual will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and troubleshooting CNC programs for Swiss-style lathes, ensuring high-quality production of tight-tolerance components. This role requires a strong understanding of complex geometries, tooling strategies, and efficient cycle time reduction. Key Responsibilities Program, set up, and optimize CNC Swiss-@type lathes (Citizen, Star, Tsugami, etc.) Develop programs using CAM software (Mastercam, Esprit, or similar) Interpret complex engineering drawings, GD&T, and blueprints Select appropriate tooling, speeds, and feeds for various materials Perform first article inspections and validate program accuracy Troubleshoot machining issues and implement corrective actions Optimize cycle times and improve overall production efficiency Collaborate with engineering and production teams on manufacturability Maintain documentation for programs, tooling, and processes Ensure compliance with quality standards and safety protocols Qualifications 3+ years of CNC programming experience, with strong Swiss machining background Proficiency with Swiss-@type machines (Citizen, Star, Tsugami preferred) Experience with CAM software (Esprit highly preferred) Strong understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading Ability to work with tight tolerances (±.0005 or better) Knowledge of various materials (stainless steel, titanium, plastics, etc.) Experience with multi-axis machining and live tooling Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Preferred Qualifications Setup and operation experience on Swiss machines Experience in medical device, aerospace, or firearms manufacturing Familiarity with automation and bar feeders Lean manufacturing or continuous improvement experience Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary Overtime opportunities Health, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) with company match PTO and paid holidays Relocation assistance (if applicable) Work Environment Clean, climate-controlled precision machining facility High-mix, low-to-mid volume production Team-oriented culture focused on quality and continuous improvement Email Resume scott.slater@gogpac.com
