We are looking for an experienced, hands-on CNC Machinist to join our team. This is a job-shop environment with a wide variety of parts, materials, and setups. The ideal candidate is comfortable taking a part from print through programming, setup, machining, and inspection. Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate 3-axis CNC vertical mills. Hurco brand is a plus. Set up and operate a Mazak CNC lathe as needed. Select appropriate tooling, speeds, feeds, and machining strategies for a variety of materials. Read and interpret manufacturing drawings, dimensions, tolerances. Inspect your own work using standard measuring equipment and verify parts meet print requirements. Work from SolidWorks models, drawings, DXF/DWG files, and other common manufacturing file types. Use CAD/CAM software to create and modify CNC programs. CAD/CAM experience is preferred; SolidCAM experience is a plus. Use SolidWorks or similar solid-modeling software to review part geometry and manufacturing information. Experience is preferred. Operate manual equipment such as a Bridgeport mill and other general machine-shop equipment as needed. Assist with other shop equipment and manufacturing processes when required. Maintain an organized work area, tooling, programs, and job documentation. Qualifications CNC machining experience in a job-shop or similar manufacturing environment. Strong understanding of machining fundamentals, including workholding, tooling, speeds, feeds, and cutting conditions. Ability to independently set up and run CNC equipment. Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings and tolerances. Comfortable using computers and navigating files and folders. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook. CAD/CAM experience is preferred. 3-axis CNC vertical mill is required. SolidCAM, SolidWorks, and Mazak experience are all beneficial but not required for the right candidate.
