Full Job Description Essential Job Functions:
Write and edit programs at the machine or using Fusion360 software. Troubleshoot and problem solve CNC production issues. Handle set-ups for CNC Vertical Mills Store proven programs, work holding and tooling. Determine the sequence of machine operations, and select the proper cutting tools needed to machine work pieces into the desired shapes. Revise programs to eliminate errors, and retest programs to check that problems have been solved. Quote all machining jobs Analyze job orders, drawings, blueprints, specifications and design data to calculate dimensions, tool selection, machine speeds, and feed rates. Modify existing programs to enhance efficiency. Do all inspections from start to finish utlizing measuring equipment. Keep leadership aware of any condition that may affect the efficiency, quality or completion of jobs, and assist in continuous improvement activities within the machine shop. Suggest and implement processes to make the machine shop more efficient
Job Requirements:
Programming Experience . A minimum of 5 years of experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC mills. Handle machine set-ups on your own Ability to read and understand G code. Ability to read and interpret blueprints Ability to use inspection equipment to handle first articles and in-process inspection reports. Experience with Okuma is a plus. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Team Player that is willing to do whatever is needed Willingness to be accountable & responsible.
