Job Description

Job Summary The CNC Programmer/Machinist programs, sets up, and operates CNC lathes/turning centers and vertical machining centers. The ideal candidate will be comfortable programming, performing setups, and operating CNC lathes, and equally as comfortable on vertical machining centers. Responsibilities (organized from least to most technical) Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Assist with/perform machine setups and routine machine care Run production parts and inspect using micrometers, calipers, and other precision measuring tools as required Adjust tool and work offsets to maintain part quality Operate manual machine shop equipment (saws, mills, lathes, grinders) for second operations and fixturing Train team members on machining skills and machine operation Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and 3D models Design and build fixtures for new part designs Program CNC machines using long-hand G-code and CAM software Review and apply Engineering Change Notices; update programming, tooling, and fixturing Document all changes to machine and tooling layouts Troubleshoot machining and programming issues Support new software tools and process improvements Required Qualifications Associate degree/certificate in CNC machining or 3+ years of CNC programming experience 2+ years programming CNC lathes and machining centers (experience with Haas machines a plus) 2+ years CAD/CAM experience (SolidWorks, Mastercam, Inventor, AutoCAD, etc.) Strong math skills, including trigonometry and geometry Ability to read and interpret blueprints Self-motivated, flexible, and team-oriented Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field 4+ years CNC programming experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably with experience on Haas machine Why Join Us? $27.00 - $38.00 per hour
