About the Role As a CNC Machining Specialist, you will drive manufacturing excellence by managing complex lathe setups and optimizing production workflows. You will serve as a technical lead, ensuring that precision components meet rigorous quality standards while mentoring team members to achieve operational goals. Responsibilities Execute precise CNC lathe setups and changeovers to maximize machine uptime and output efficiency. Partner with engineering and quality assurance teams to validate that all manufactured parts adhere to exact customer specifications. Perform critical tool adjustments, offsets, and G-code/M-code modifications to maintain high-tolerance production. Utilize advanced hand metrology tools to conduct thorough inspections and ensure consistent product quality. Lead and mentor junior operators, fostering a culture of technical growth and operational excellence. Analyze production data and perform root cause analysis to resolve machining bottlenecks and improve overall equipment effectiveness. Maintain a safe, organized, and compliant workspace while documenting operational metrics and KPIs. Required Skills 2-3 years of hands-on experience in CNC lathe operation and complex machine setups. Advanced proficiency in reading technical blueprints and interpreting geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Strong command of CNC programming, including G-code and M-code editing. Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform precision measurements. Demonstrated experience in leadership or supervisory roles within a manufacturing environment. Preferred Skills Technical degree or specialized certification in CNC machining or manufacturing technology. Experience with statistical process control (SPC) to monitor and improve production stability. Hands-on familiarity with Haas, Okuma, or Takisawa multi-axis lathe platforms.
