CNC Machine Operator / Programmer A leading aluminum extrusion company in Youngstown is seeking a talented CNC Machine Operator/Programmer to join our team. Produces precision machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machines as well as conventional manual machining equipment. Ensures quality standards, maintains safe operations, and supports production efficiency through accurate machining, documentation, and equipment maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan machining operations by studying work orders, blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Calculate machining requirements using basic math, geometry, and trigonometry. Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes by entering instructions, setting tool registers, offsets, compensation, and reference points. Set up machines by installing and adjusting chucks, tools, collets, bushings, attachments, stops, stock pushers, and other tooling. Perform setups on both CNC and manual equipment including conventional lathes, VTL (Vertical Turret Lathes), and manual mills Edit and troubleshoot G-Code programming as needed. Indicate vises and tram machine heads to ensure proper alignment. Indicate vises and tram machine heads to ensure proper alignment. Perform tool offsets and monitor tool wear for optimal performance. Conduct routine cleaning and light maintenance of CNC machines. Perform machining operations including drilling, grooving, cutting, turning, facing, knurling, and threading. Follow ISO standards and safety protocols at all times. Maintain detailed records and comply with all quality and regulatory guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

2-5 years CNC machining experience preferred. 5+ years CNC operator/programmer experience preferred. Minimum 1-2 years experience operating manual lathes required.
