PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE

The Swiss CNC Lead is responsible for the overall performance of the Swiss department, including programming, tooling, scheduling, and troubleshooting. This role is expected to take ownership of processes, improve efficiency, and support operators to ensure jobs are completed accurately and on time. This is a hands-on role that includes setup and operation as needed. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to take ownership of a department and have a direct impact on production and efficiency.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO

Create CNC programs (PartMaker experience a plus) Select and purchase appropriate tooling Schedule jobs within the Swiss department Coordinate process planning with other departments, including engineering and quality, to ensure efficient and consistent production 1st piece approval of parts at setup Assist, train, and support operators as needed Perform machine and bar feeder setups as needed Troubleshoot machining and process issues Perform other related duties as needed

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

3+ years of setup and operation of Swiss style machines; Citizen brand a plus In-depth knowledge of CNC machining and G-code programming; experience with PartMaker a plus Ensure accuracy of programs, tooling database records, and related documentation Foster a positive team culture that promotes continuous improvement Coordinate with second shift on scheduling and any other issues Ability to work independently and take ownership of department performance

EDUCATION

High school diploma or GED required or minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This is a full-time position with benefits including health care, dental, vision, paid time off, 401(k) with match, and other benefits. Work office location is in Brooklyn Heights, Ohio. Able and willing to lift/move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
