We are seeking a detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our team. In this role, you will develop and optimize programs for multi-axis and horizontal machines supporting sheet metal fabrication, playing a key role in driving efficiency, accuracy, and overall production performance. This position is based in Canton, Ohio. Key Responsibilities
  • Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for multi-axis and horizontal machines
  • Utilize drawings and CAD models to develop accurate and efficient programs
  • Determine machining sequences and select appropriate tooling
  • Run simulations and test programs to ensure quality and performance
  • Maintain program documentation, including set-up sheets and tool lists
  • Analyze work orders and perform necessary calculations for programming
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to finalize programs
  • Troubleshoot and resolve programming or machining issues
  • Monitor program performance to ensure compliance with drawings, safety, and quality standards
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce cycle times Qualifications
  • 2-5 years of CNC programming experience (sheet metal preferred)
  • Proficiency with CAD and AP100US
  • Experience with nesting parts and reading blueprints
  • Strong math and measurement skills (fractions/decimals)
  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate degree or certification preferred Work Environment
  • Office-based within a manufacturing facility
  • Regular interaction with shop floor operations Physical Requirements
  • Primarily sedentary with occasional walking
  • Light lifting up to 25 lbs
