Job Description
Local Metal Working Company looking for Energetic individuals to join our manufacturing team. Primary Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC machines Create and modify Haas-compatible G-code programs Perform conversational/manual programming at the Haas control when appropriate Read and interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, tolerances, and specifications Determine proper machining sequences and work holding methods Select appropriate cutting tools, end mills, drills, inserts, and other tooling Establish tool offsets and work coordinate offsets Determine appropriate speeds, feeds, depths of cut, and machining strategies Set up vises, fixtures, clamps, and other work holding Touch off and qualify tooling Perform machine setups and prove out new programs Run first-piece parts and verify dimensions before releasing production Make program and offset adjustments as necessary to maintain tolerances Troubleshoot chatter, poor finishes, tool wear, dimensional problems, and other machining issues Inspect completed parts using standard precision measuring equipment Maintain machines and work areas in clean, safe operating condition Work with Engineering and Production to improve machining processes and cycle times Document successful setups and machining processes for repeat production Required Qualifications Previous experience programming and operating Haas CNC machines Strong understanding of Haas controls Ability to program and edit G-code Experience with Mastercam, Fusion 360, SolidWorks CAM, or similar software Ability to independently set up and operate CNC equipment Drilling, tapping, contouring, pocketing, and milling operations Ability to read detailed manufacturing drawings Ability to work with decimal tolerances and GD&T Ability to troubleshoot machining problems without constant supervision High School Diploma/GED Valid Drivers License Compensation for this position is Based on Experience.
