Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, testing, and optimizing computer numerical control (CNC) programs to produce precision components efficiently and accurately. Your expertise will directly impact our production quality and throughput, enabling us to meet demanding customer specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technologies and contribute to innovative manufacturing solutions. Duties Develop and write CNC programs for various machining centers, including CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, utilizing CAM programming software. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, ensuring precise understanding of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) standards. Set up and operate CNC machines, including electrical discharge machining (EDM), ensuring proper tooling, fixtures, and calibration are in place. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions and ensure adherence to specifications. Optimize machining processes through lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and enhance quality. Troubleshoot programming issues or machine malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime. Collaborate with design engineers using CAD software like SolidWorks or CATIA to review designs and suggest manufacturability improvements. Experience Proven experience in CNC programming for both milling machines and lathes within a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in CNC programming languages such as Fanuc, Siemens, or similar controls. Hands-on experience with CAD/CAM software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for designing and programming parts. Knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and geometric dimensioning & tolerancing (GD&T). Mechanical knowledge of tooling setups, geometry calculations, and machining processes. Familiarity with lean manufacturing methodologies to streamline operations and improve workflow efficiency. Ability to operate precision measuring instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM).
