We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Programmer/Machinist to program, set up, and operate CNC machining equipment to produce precision components that meet engineering specifications and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of CNC programming, machining processes, tooling, and inspection techniques, along with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings. Key Responsibilities Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs for mills, lathes, and/or other CNC equipment. Set up and operate CNC machines, including selecting tooling, workholding, and cutting parameters. Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T, and work instructions. Determine appropriate machining methods, tooling, feeds, speeds, and sequences. Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using calipers, micrometers, gauges, CMMs, and other precision measuring equipment. Make program and offset adjustments to maintain part quality and dimensional accuracy. Troubleshoot machining, tooling, programming, and equipment issues. Work closely with engineering, quality, and production personnel to improve processes and resolve manufacturing issues. Develop and implement efficient machining processes to reduce cycle times, scrap, and tooling costs. Maintain accurate production and inspection records. Perform routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organized. Follow all company safety procedures and quality requirements. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or machining certification preferred. 3+ years of CNC machining and programming experience preferred. Proficiency with CNC controls such as Hurco WinMax, Fanuc, Mazak, Okuma, or similar. Experience with CAM software such as SolidWorks, Mastercam, Fusion 360, or equivalent. Strong understanding of G-code and CNC programming principles. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical documentation. Proficient with precision measurement and inspection equipment. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple jobs in a production environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work. Preferred Qualifications Experience with 3-, 4-, or 5-axis CNC machining. Experience machining a variety of materials, including steel, stainless steel, aluminum, and specialty alloys. Experience with tight-tolerance and complex-profile components. Familiarity with tool management, workholding, and process optimization. Experience with Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or continuous-improvement practices. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift and move materials and tooling as required. Ability to safely operate CNC machinery and related equipment. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with exposure to machining noise, coolant, and metal chips while using required PPE. Work Environment This position works primarily in a manufacturing environment and requires adherence to established safety, quality, and production procedures.
