RPUI is dedicated to delivering exceptional products and preserving the legacy of classic cars. Known for its expertise and reputation, RPUI serves automotive enthusiasts and professionals nationwide. We are seeking a CNC Machinist Programmer Lead to join our production team. This is a hands-on role responsible for programming, setup, and operation of CNC equipment, as well as mentoring future machinists and optimizing machining processes. Key Responsibilities Program, set up, and operate CNC mills and lathes to produce precision components to print. Create and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis machining. Experience with Fusion preferred. Lead and train a team of CNC machinists, as team grows, in best practices for setup, tooling, and machining efficiency. Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and 3D CAD models to determine machining strategy and tool paths. Develop and maintain setup sheets, tool lists, and documentation for repeatability and standardization. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to troubleshoot design or production issues. Ensure adherence to quality, safety, and production standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Recommend and implement process improvements to reduce cycle time, waste, and tool wear. Oversee machine maintenance schedules and ensure proper calibration and upkeep of CNC equipment. Qualifications Advanced or Professional level understanding of Fusion software preferred. 5+ years of CNC machining experience, including 3+ years in programming a wide array of parts Proficiency in programming for multi-axis CNC equipment (Lathes and Mills). Strong understanding of G-code, tooling, work holding, and feeds & speeds optimization. Experience with precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, indicators, etc.). Ability to read and interpret GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing). High attention to detail and commitment to producing quality parts on schedule. Preferred Skills Experience with HAAS machines. Familiarity with CAD software. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement principles. Strong troubleshooting and process-optimization abilities. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly or salaried compensation (based on experience).
