May 1, 2026 Summary / Objective The Shipping and Sales Coordinator serves as a customer service agent for SSK, will be the first point of contact for walk in customers, certain phone in customers, walk-in and individual sales to customers while managing the cycle of shipping, receiving, and inventory operations. This role combines customer facing support with hands-on logistics responsibilities to ensure excellent customer service, timely fulfillment of orders, receiving product from manufacturer, accurate inventory receiving, and overall operational efficiency. Responsibilities & Duties Provides front-office reception, answers phones professionally, assists with walk-in customers, coordinates with other team members for processing, and collects customer payments as needed. Manage shipping and receiving operations, tracks incoming shipments, follows up on delays, accurately inventories, checks in and receipts new units, files hard copies accurately, and distributes items appropriately. Understands company products, services, and capabilities and effectively communicates with customers and fellow employees. Responsible for sales for individual customers and any walk-in customers as well as support for larger multiple item sales and contracts. Manages promotional material and works with marketing in distribution of material and support for marketing contractors. Ships items timely and accurately, selecting proper shipping methods, terms, COD amounts, insurance, and including required informational materials; ensures proper packaging to prevent damage. Follows the checkout procedure properly to ensure the best results. Maintains working knowledge of Harmonized Tariff Codes and handles international shipping and customs paperwork. Maintains strong relationships with shipping carriers, stays current on shipping regulations; may have to make periodic runs to the Post Office or carrier drop boxes as needed. Reviews and investigates items on the "shipping hold shelf." This may include contacting outstanding accounts for payment. Practices safety measures at all times and maintains inventory of shipping supplies and office supplies, placing replenishment orders as needed. Required Skills Excellent oral and written communication skills, including professional telephone etiquette. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, proportions, exchange rates and percentages. Honesty, integrity, and ability to maintain confidentiality. Strong problem-solving skills. Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team. Position Type / Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. Travel Travel may be required to attend trade shows or other meetings (typically less than 5%). Preferred Education & Experience Associate's or higher degree preferred but not necessary. 2-5 years of combined experience in customer relations, sales, shipping/receiving, and inventory control. Experience with international shipping, customs paperwork, and carrier systems a plus. Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word) and modern Windows OS. $23.99 - $27.99 per hour
