This position is responsible for programming CNC equipment used to fabricate aluminum storefront, curtain wall, unitized glazing systems, door, and other glazing-related systems. Prior experience programming a Mecal 5A MDT is required. We are specifically looking for someone who understands both CNC programming and the unique fabrication requirements of the glazing industry.
CNC Equipment Our equipment includes:
Mecal 5A MDT - Prior programming experience required Emmegi Quadra SXL2 DN Solutions

Experience with the Emmegi Quadra SXL2 and DN Solutions
SVM 5100L
is strongly preferred, but we are willing to consider an experienced glazing-industry CNC programmer who has strong Mecal 5A MDT experience and can learn our additional equipment. Responsibilities Program and optimize the Mecal 5A MDT, Emmegi Quadra SXL2, and DN Solutions

Create and modify CNC programs for aluminum profiles and glazing system components Interpret architectural drawings, shop drawings, fabrication drawings, and cut lists Program machining operations including drilling, milling, routing, notching, tapping, and other required fabrication Review drawings and specifications to determine proper machining operations and sequencing Set up tooling, machining parameters, and workholding requirements Troubleshoot programming, tooling, and machining issues Optimize programs to improve production speed, accuracy, material utilization, and overall efficiency Verify finished components meet required dimensions, tolerances, and quality standards Work closely with fabrication, engineering, project management, and production teams Maintain organized CNC programs and accurate documentation Assist operators with setup and troubleshooting as needed Identify opportunities to improve fabrication processes and CNC workflow Required Qualifications Previous glazing industry CNC programming experience Hands-on programming experience with a Mecal 5A MDT Strong knowledge of architectural aluminum fabrication Ability to read and interpret architectural and fabrication drawings Understanding of aluminum profiles, extrusion machining, tooling, tolerances, and fabrication processes Ability to independently create, modify, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC programs Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate work Ability to troubleshoot machining and programming problems in a production environment Strong communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience programming or operating an Emmegi Quadra SXL2 Experience programming or operating a DN Solutions

Experience with storefront, curtain wall, window, door, and other commercial glazing systems Experience working with multiple aluminum extrusion manufacturers and profile systems Experience improving CNC production processes and reducing machining/fabrication time What We're Looking For This is not an entry-level CNC programming position . We are looking for someone who can bring practical glazing-industry knowledge to the role and understands how CNC machining fits into the complete architectural aluminum fabrication process. The ideal candidate can take a fabrication drawing or project requirement, determine how the part needs to be machined, create an accurate and efficient program, and work with the fabrication team to ensure the finished product is correct.
Required experience:
Mecal 5A MDT programming and glazing/architectural aluminum fabrication. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications.
Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
