You will leverage your expertise in multi-axis machining to solve complex engineering challenges and optimize manufacturing workflows for high-quality components. Responsibilities Develop and refine robust CNC programs for complex 3, 4, and 5-axis machining centers. Translate engineering CAD models into efficient, repeatable machining strategies. Optimize cycle times, tool life, and cutting parameters to maximize production throughput. Create comprehensive setup documentation and standardized work instructions for the shop floor. Collaborate with engineering teams to provide Design for Manufacturability (DFM) feedback. Research and implement cutting-edge tooling technologies to enhance process reliability. Mentor junior staff and serve as a technical subject matter expert for machining operations. Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste. Qualifications Required Skills 7+ years of professional experience in CNC programming and machining. Advanced proficiency in programming complex 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC equipment. Deep understanding of GD&T, blueprint interpretation, and metal cutting physics. Proven ability to independently select tooling and design effective work-holding solutions. Strong analytical skills with a focus on troubleshooting and process optimization. Preferred Skills Expertise in software such as GibbsCAM, Mastercam, NX CAM, or Fusion 360. Experience with simulation software like Vericut for collision avoidance. Background in High-Efficiency Machining (HEM) and dynamic milling techniques. Familiarity with CAD modeling and fixture design software. Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems and automated manufacturing environments.
