Job Description

CNC Programmer / Machinist Motor Control Technology (MCT) - Newberg, OR Motor Control Technology (MCT) is a precision 5-axis CNC machine shop serving aerospace, defense, space, and advanced technology industries. We are AS9100 certified, ITAR registered, and focused on delivering high-quality, tight-tolerance components. We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a high-precision, low-volume, high-complexity environment and takes ownership from programming through production. Key Responsibilities CNC Programming & Process Development Create CNC programs from customer drawings using Hypermill CAM Optimize toolpaths for efficiency, accuracy, and tool life Develop fixturing and prep models using SolidWorks Program Management & Organization Maintain organized program storage on file systems Follow standardized file structure and naming conventions Setup & Documentation Generate setup sheets with accurate cycle and setup times Provide tool lists and setup photos for each job First Article & Inspection Perform full first-part inspections against drawings and POs Document measurements, sign off drawings, and ensure traceability CMM Operation Run and maintain CMM inspection programs Calibrate probes as required Production Oversight Monitor machining operations for efficiency and accuracy Troubleshoot issues and prevent scrap Maintain a clean, safe, and organized workspace Team Collaboration Work closely with inspection and shop support teams Contribute to a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement Qualifications Strong experience with 3-5 axis CNC programming and machining Proficiency in Hypermill (preferred) or similar CAM software SolidWorks experience for fixturing/model prep Ability to read and interpret complex aerospace drawings Experience with tight-tolerance machining and inspection processes Familiarity with CMM operation and inspection workflows Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Must be a US citizen (ITAR regulated work)
Pay:
$36.00 - $40.00 per hour
