lathe to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC machining, blueprint interpretation, and tooling will ensure the highest standards of quality and efficiency. Duties Program CNC lathe machine using G-code, M-code, and VPS programming interface to produce complex parts with precision. Set up CNC lathe, including installing tooling, calibrating machines, and verifying machine parameters for optimal operation. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements and specifications. Operate manual machining tools such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and hand tools for inspection and setup purposes. Conduct quality control inspections using precision measurement instruments to ensure parts meet GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards. Perform machine maintenance, troubleshooting, and adjustments to maintain high productivity levels. Collaborate with engineering teams on tooling design, fixture setup, and process improvements to enhance machining accuracy and efficiency. Qualifications Proven experience programming and operating CNC lathe machines, preferably with Haas controls or similar systems. Strong knowledge of CNC G-code programming, M-code functions, and Haas VPS interface. Familiarity grinding processes, and other secondary machining techniques is a plus. Ability to read and interpret mechanical blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications accurately. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of machining tools, tooling setups, measurement instruments like calipers and micrometers, and manual machining techniques. Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, feeds, speeds, and conversions necessary for precise machining operations. Knowledge of CNC quality inspection procedures including measurement verification using precision measuring instruments. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret blueprints and manufacturing instructions effectively. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on safety, quality assurance, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.
