In this energetic role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) routers to produce high-quality parts and components. You will utilize your mechanical knowledge, precision measuring skills, and manufacturing expertise to ensure efficient production while maintaining the highest standards of quality. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machinery in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to the success of our fabrication and assembly processes. Duties Program CNC routers using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to create precise machining instructions. Operate CNC routers and related machinery safely and efficiently, ensuring optimal performance throughout the shift. Read and interpret technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and materials specifications to produce accurate parts. Perform routine maintenance, tooling changes, and adjustments on CNC equipment to maximize uptime and precision. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and other quality control tools to verify dimensions and ensure parts meet specifications. Handle materials safely using forklifts and other materials handling equipment within the manufacturing facility. Conduct quality inspections during production to identify defects or deviations from specifications and implement corrective actions when necessary. Skills Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM programming, and SolidWorks or similar CAD software for design interpretation. Experience operating various manufacturing machinery including CNC routers Ability to read blueprints accurately and apply GD&T principles for precise machining. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of tooling setup, fabrication processes, machining techniques, and materials handling. Skilled in using hand tools, basic math skills for measurements, and precision measuring instruments for quality assurance. Factory experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment is highly desirable. Knowledge of safety protocols related to factory operations including forklift operation and use of safety equipment. Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement in machining processes.
