Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Multi Axis CNC Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing complex CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers. Your expertise will ensure precision manufacturing of intricate components by utilizing advanced programming techniques and comprehensive knowledge of machining processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality production through innovative programming, meticulous setup, and continuous process improvement. Responsibilities Develop and write detailed CNC programs for multi-axis machining centers using CAM software such as CATIA or SolidWorks, ensuring optimal tool paths and efficiency. Interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to produce precise parts that meet strict tolerances. Set up and operate CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, verifying machine calibration with precision measuring instruments like bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Collaborate with mechanical engineers and tooling specialists to select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters aligned with lean manufacturing principles. Troubleshoot machining issues related to geometry, tooling wear, or machine performance; adjust programs accordingly to maintain quality standards. Conduct regular inspections using precision measuring instruments to ensure parts conform to specifications; document inspection results accurately. Continuously improve programming techniques by integrating CAD/CAM software updates and staying current with industry best practices in CNC machining. Experience Proven experience in CNC programming for multi-axis milling machines and CNC lathes within a manufacturing environment. Strong proficiency in Fanuc controls as well as familiarity with other control systems is highly desirable. Extensive knowledge of CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for designing and modifying parts. Hands-on experience with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) programming tools to generate efficient tool paths. Solid understanding of blueprint reading, schematics, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM), precision measurement instruments (micrometers, bore gauges), and geometric analysis techniques. Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles aimed at reducing waste while maintaining high-quality output.
