Job Description

Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Specialist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise will ensure that manufacturing processes run smoothly, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining technology and contribute to innovative production solutions in a fast-paced environment. Duties Review job orders with CNC Programmer to determine the "best way" of machining parts. Set up and operate various machine tools according to above instructions and using acquired skills in machining technology. CNC milling machines and CNC lathes by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and verifying machine readiness according to schematics and blueprints. Operate CNC equipment while monitoring machining processes to ensure adherence to specifications, tolerances, and safety standards. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to inspect parts for accuracy and quality. Interpret technical drawings, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and blueprints to execute complex machining tasks accurately. Troubleshoot machine issues, perform routine maintenance, and optimize machining parameters following lean manufacturing principles for increased efficiency. Collaborate with engineering teams on CNC programming adjustments and improvements using Fanuc controls or other relevant systems. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is highly desirable. Proficiency in CAD software including AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or CATIA for designing parts and creating toolpaths. Familiarity with CAM programming for efficient toolpath generation and process optimization. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Mechanical knowledge of tooling, geometry, electrical discharge machining (EDM), and precision measuring instruments like micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote continuous improvement in machining processes. Strong math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machining parameters; familiarity with GD&T standards is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with attention to detail to ensure high-quality production output. Join us as a CNC Specialist to leverage your technical expertise in a vibrant manufacturing environment where innovation meets precision!
