In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating advanced Swiss CNC machines, including 5-axis CNC milling machines and CNC lathes, to produce high-quality plastic components. Your expertise in CAD/CAM software, blueprint interpretation, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and accuracy in our manufacturing processes. We are seeking energetic professionals passionate about machining and dedicated to continuous improvement through lean manufacturing principles. First shift 4 day work week Monday through Thursday 7:00 AM -5:30 PM. Friday overtime if available. Responsibilities Develop and optimize CNC programs using CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, or similar tools for complex Swiss machining operations. Set up CNC machinery, including tooling selection, fixture installation, and calibration to ensure precise machining according to technical drawings and schematics. Operate Swiss CNC machines—and or CNC milling machines and CNC lathes—ensuring smooth production flow while adhering to safety standards. Interpret mechanical blueprints, schematics, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and engineering drawings to accurately produce parts. Perform precision measurement using tools like bore gauges, calipers, micrometers, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), bore gauges, and other measurement instruments for quality control. Troubleshoot machining issues related to geometry, tooling wear, or machine performance; implement corrective actions swiftly to minimize downtime. Maintain detailed documentation of programs, setups, measurements, and quality checks in compliance with manufacturing standards. Skills Proficiency in programming Swiss CNC machines using G-code or Maztrol and experience with CAD/CAM software such as SolidWorks or Espirit. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, GD&T principles, and mechanical blueprint analysis. Knowledge of engineering plastics machining processes including CNC milling (especially 5-axis) and CNC turning on lathes. Experience with CNC tooling setup, fixture design, and tool management for precision machining tasks. Mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of geometry, measurement techniques, and the use of precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers. Ability to apply lean manufacturing principles to optimize workflow efficiency and reduce waste. Skilled in using measurement tools such as Keyence optical, bore gauges, bore gauges, micrometers, calipers for quality assurance purposes. Knowledge of engineering CAD design software like SolidWorks or Espirit for part modeling and program validation.
