About the Role As a CNC Machinist Programmer, you will play a pivotal role in our production facility by developing, refining, and executing complex machining programs. You will leverage your expertise in Mastercam to optimize cycle times and tool life, ensuring our horizontal, vertical, and turning centers operate at peak efficiency while maintaining the highest quality standards. Responsibilities Develop and implement CNC programs using Mastercam to drive productivity across HMC, VMC, and turning platforms. Execute full machine setups, including workholding, tooling, and probing, to ensure rapid and accurate production starts. Analyze and reduce cycle times through advanced toolpath strategies, high-efficiency machining, and SMED methodology. Perform in-process adjustments and G-code editing at the control to resolve technical issues and improve surface finishes. Drive 'Quality at the Source' by integrating inspection checkpoints and in-machine probing macros. Mentor machine operators on best practices for setup, tool offsets, and print interpretation to foster a culture of continuous improvement. Maintain a safe and organized workspace by strictly adhering to LOTO, guarding, and 5S standards. Required Skills Proven experience in CNC programming and operation for multi-axis machining centers. Proficiency in Mastercam and G-code/M-code editing. Strong understanding of GD&T and precision measurement tools like micrometers and bore gages. Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and programming issues independently. Preferred Skills Experience with SMED and lean manufacturing principles to minimize downtime. Background in CMM reporting and root-cause analysis for quality assurance. Familiarity with Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) tasks for high-volume machining equipment.
