A CNC Programmer programs computer-controlled equipment used to cut wood, plastic, or metal according to precise measurements, or equipment used for different manufacturing processes.
100% simulation coverage utilizing Vericut and Siemens Run My Virtual Machine.
Next-Gen Hardware:
Custom 10-ton multi-function grinding machines, massive 5-axis mills, and large VTLs/VBMs up to 2.5m.
Advanced Diagnostics & Automation:
Closed-Loop Machining (CLM), custom Renishaw probing routines, Caron Engineering TMaC, and Modal Analysis (tap testing) hardware/software. What You'll Do (Technical Ownership & Collaboration)
Process Architecture:
Design and optimize high-efficiency CNC programs for complex multi-axis setups cutting high-temperature superalloys (Inconel, Rene, and exotic nickels).
Virtual Prototyping:
Use digital twin software (Vericut) to validate code and optimize toolpaths in a risk-free virtual environment before hitting the shop floor.
Smart Machining:
Develop adaptive probing routines, macro programming, and closed-loop machining processes to make complex setups smooth and predictable.
New Equipment Integration:
Partner with Manufacturing Engineers and shop-floor teams to commission new multi-million-dollar machine tools and establish baseline machining standards.
Cross-Functional Teamwork:
Act as a technical mentor and partner on the floor—troubleshooting setups, proving out first-piece components, and sharing knowledge across the team.
What You'll Bring CAM Mastery:
Demonstrated experience programming 4 and 5-axis continuous milling, large VTLs, or multi-axis grinding systems using graphical CAM software (Siemens NX strongly preferred).
Material & Control Knowledge:
Experience machining high-temperature alloys or heavy structural parts, along with familiarity with modern controls (Siemens Sinumerik, Fanuc, Okuma, or Haas). Experience with on machine probing including Renishaw macros
Quality & Safety Mindset:
A pride in craftsmanship that prioritizes method setup, process stability, and safety over rushed code. 4 years minimum experience with offline programming in a CAM system
