This role is responsible for the design, engineering, and technical support of complex Solid Surface projects. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate across project teams to ensure high-quality, efficient project execution. Essential Functions of Engineering Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and finish schedules to develop complete and accurate submittal drawings using AutoCAD and RouterSim Ensure alignment with design intent, constructability, and fabrication standards Lead and support submittal engineers on complex projects, including workload coordination, technical guidance, and drawing review Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications, AWI standards, and company drafting standards Coordinate with project managers to resolve design conflicts and missing information Convert approved submittals into production-ready shop drawings, including field dimensions, hardware verification, and fabrication documentation Coordinate with production and installation teams to resolve constructability issues QualificationsRequired Strong understanding of Solid Surface manufacturing processes, materials, and CNC-based fabrication Proficiency in AutoCAD and RouterSim Familiarity with AWI standards and commercial construction documentation Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with clear communication Preferred Shop or installation experience in commercial Solid Surface/Millwork Experience with AutoCAD, RouterSim, MicroSoft, Teams Experience with Bluebeam Work Environment Primarily an office environment with occasional exposure to production or job site conditions May involve exposure to moving mechanical parts, moderate noise levels, and varying environmental conditions Duties, responsibilities, and activities may change at any time with or without notice.
