Lead CNC Programmer /
Machinist Shift/Hours:
Monday - Friday 7:00AM - 3:30
PM Pay Rate:
$35+/hr

Santa Fe, TX Experience:
5-10 years We are seeking a highly skilled CNC Programmer / Machinist to lead our client's production team in Santa Fe, Texas. This is a "cradle-to-grave" role requiring a craftsman who can help lead projects from digital models to finished, high-precision components. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader possessing a deep understanding of both Milling and Lathe operations and is proficient in generating efficient code using EdgeCam and Fusion 360 .
Key Responsibilities Programming:
Develop, test, and optimize CNC programs for complex valve components using EdgeCam and Fusion 360 .
Setup & Operation:
Perform full setups and operations on Doosan and Mori Seiki multi-axis mills and lathes.
Tooling & Fixturing:
Select appropriate cutting tools, attachments, and fixtures; design custom work-holding solutions as needed.
Technical Interpretation:
Read and interpret engineered drawings, blueprints, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) specifications.
Optimization:
Edit G-code at the machine (Fanuc controls) to improve cycle times, tool life, and part quality.
Quality Control:
Inspect first-article and finished parts using micrometers, calipers, and gauges to ensure high-quality standards.
Required Qualifications Experience:
5-10 years of professional CNC machining and programming experience.
Machinery:
Proven expertise in setting up and running Doosan and Mori Seiki equipment.
Software:
Proficiency in EdgeCam (primary) and Fusion 360 for toolpath generation and 3D modeling.
Versatility:
Must be equally comfortable with Lathe (Turning) and Mill operations.
Technical Skills:
Strong knowledge of speeds/feeds for various metals (stainless steel, carbon steel, and exotic alloys common in manufacturing). Preferred Skills Experience in the Oil & Gas or Valve manufacturing industry. Familiarity with Fanuc and/or MAPPS controls.
