In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for operating, setting up, and maintaining CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision metal components. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine setup, and quality inspection will ensure that production runs smoothly, efficiently, and to the highest standards. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced machining tools and contribute to innovative manufacturing processes in a fast-paced environment. Duties Operate CNC milling machines, lathes, grinders, and other machining tools with precision and safety. Program CNC machines using G-code, M-code, Fanuc controls, and CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software to produce complex parts. Interpret mechanical blueprints and technical drawings accurately to ensure proper machining specifications. Set up machines by installing tooling, calibrating equipment, and performing machine adjustments for optimal performance. Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and other measurement instruments for quality control. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machinery to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency. Inspect finished parts for conformance to specifications using GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards and quality inspection procedures. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to improve processes through lean manufacturing principles and tooling optimization. Maintain detailed documentation of machine setups, inspections, and production logs for compliance and continuous improvement. Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, lathes, or CNC grinders with a strong understanding of CNC programming languages including G-code and M-code. Proficiency in CAD (Computer-Aided Design) software such as SolidWorks or similar programs for interpreting technical drawings. Skilled in CAM programming to develop efficient toolpaths for machining operations. Knowledge of electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Familiarity with Fanuc or other CNC control systems; experience with CNC quality inspection tools is highly desirable. Mechanical aptitude with the ability to interpret mechanical blueprints and perform manual machining tasks when necessary. Strong measurement skills using precision instruments like micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators for quality control purposes. Basic math skills essential for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine offsets. Ability to set up machines accurately while adhering to safety standards and lean manufacturing practices.
