CNC Programmer / Machinist (Bilingual) Quality Process CNC Machine Shop Grand Prairie, TX Job Details Part-time | Full-time $20 - $25 an hour 4 hours ago Qualifications Inspection gauge Mechanical blueprint interpretation Measurement-based inspection Spanish Machine setup Equipment setup (production tasks) Tooling Bore gauges Machining tool setup English Mechanical drawings Dimensional measurements CNC quality inspection Attention to detail Precision measurement in machining CNC G-code Programming Full Job Description We are a small, fast-paced custom machine shop in Grand Prairie looking for an experienced CNC Programmer / Machinist to join our team. This is not a production machining position. We manufacture custom, one-off and low-volume parts for customers across different industries. Every job is different, so we're looking for someone who can take a print or sample part, create the program, set up the machine, and machine the finished part independently. Schedule Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM Occasional Saturdays as needed Responsibilities Program CNC mills and lathes from blueprints or sample parts. Set up tooling, fixtures, and work offsets. Operate CNC machines to manufacture custom parts. Read and interpret engineering drawings and technical prints. Select tooling and machining strategies for each job. Make program edits and optimize machining operations. Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments. Troubleshoot machining and programming issues. Work closely with the shop team to complete a variety of custom machining projects. Requirements Bilingual (English & Spanish) required. CNC programming and machining experience. Strong understanding of G-code programming. Ability to create programs for one-off and custom parts. Experience setting up and operating CNC mills and/or lathes. Ability to read blueprints and determine machining processes. Experience with precision measuring equipment. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently. Preferred Experience with Mastercam or other CAM software. Manual machining experience is a plus. Pay Competitive pay based on experience.
