software Strong knowledge of machining processes, including laser cutting, press brakes, and hardware insertion Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and GD&T symbols Excellent mathematical skills for calculations and measurements Familiarity with precision measuring instruments Strong attention to detail and ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to fabricate parts from raw materials using various machine tools 1-3 years of relevant CAD/CAM, drafting, or laser programming experience preferred Key Responsibilities Utilize SolidWorks and AutoCAD to create laser-ready programs for fabrication Understand and apply both 2D and 3D aspects of programming Meet with clients to discuss laser cutting and fabrication needs Generate quotes and job costing for client projects Analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine the best machining methods Inspect finished parts using precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and bore gauges
