This role ensures accurate machining, smooth workflow, and consistent production quality by translating shop drawings, cut lists, and design specifications into reliable CNC code. The CNC Programmer works closely with CNC Operators, Production Managers, and Engineering to support daily manufacturing needs. Key Responsibilities Program Creation — Develop CNC programs based on cabinet drawings, cut lists, and job packets using industry‑standard software. Toolpath Optimization — Adjust toolpaths for speed, accuracy, and material efficiency. Machine Setup Support — Provide operators with correct tooling notes, bit selections, and machining instructions. Quality Assurance — Verify accuracy of programs through test cuts, measurements, and operator feedback. Troubleshooting — Diagnose and resolve programming errors, toolpath issues, and machine inconsistencies. Documentation — Maintain organized program files, revision logs, and job‑specific machining notes. Collaboration — Work with production teams to ensure programs align with workflow, material availability, and shop standards. Continuous Improvement — Recommend improvements to machining processes, tooling, and programming methods. Required Skills & Qualifications Previous CNC programming experience in a cabinet shop or woodworking environment Familiarity with G‑code or similar machine languages Strong understanding of CNC machinery and cabinet manufacturing processes Proficiency with CNC programming software Mozaik Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, elevations, and cut lists Knowledge of tooling, bit selection, feeds, and speeds High attention to detail and accuracy Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills Ability to work in a fast‑paced production environment Effective communication with operators and production leadership Experience supporting CNC Operators or training new operators Understanding of material optimization and nesting strategies
