Our experienced professionals help customers solve complex technical challenges, improve production readiness, and deliver accurate, high-quality results. Position Summary NobleTek is seeking experienced CNC Programmers to support a customer program involving complex structural aerospace components. This position requires direct, hands-on experience developing 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC programs inCATIA V5.
Candidates must understand aerospace machining requirements and be able to create efficient, production-ready programs from engineering models and drawings. Key Responsibilities The following activities and duties are illustrative of the primary functions of this position and are not intended to be all-inclusive:- Develop and optimize complex 3, 4, and 5-axis CNC programs in
CATIA V5
for structural aerospace components.- Interpret 3D CAD models, assemblies, 2D engineering drawings, and specifications to develop accurate machining sequences and strategies.
- Plan machining operations and select appropriate cutters, tooling, workholding, fixturing, feeds, and speeds to achieve quality and efficiency objectives.
- Simulate and verify CNC programs using Vericut to identify collisions, machine-limit concerns, and other process risks before release to production.
- Develop machining strategies for aluminum and/or titanium structural aerospace components while accounting for material behavior, tolerances, and surface-finish requirements.
- Collaborate with customer personnel, project managers, manufacturing engineers, tool designers, quality personnel, and shop-floor teams to resolve technical issues.
- Support program prove-out and production machining by troubleshooting issues, implementing revisions, and identifying process improvements.
- Maintain CNC programs, setup documentation, revisions, and digital tool libraries in accordance with configuration-control requirements.
- Complete assignments in accordance with customer quality, safety, schedule, budget, and export-control requirements. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of CNC programming experience in aerospace manufacturing.
- Demonstrated hands-on experience using
CATIA V5
to program 3, 4, and 5-axis structural aerospace components.- Experience programming aluminum and/or titanium structural aerospace components.
- Experience using Vericut to simulate and verify CNC programs.
- Strong knowledge of multi-axis machining principles, cutting tools, feeds and speeds, workholding, and manufacturing processes.
- Ability to interpret complex 3D models, assemblies, 2D drawings, specifications, dimensions, and tolerances.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and practical problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate clearly, manage priorities, and work effectively both independently and as part of a cross-functional team. Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree or higher in manufacturing technology, mechanical engineering, computer-aided manufacturing, or a related technical discipline is a plus.
- Mechanical design or drafting experience.
- Experience supporting CNC program prove-out, production machining, and continuous improvement in an aerospace environment. Work Environment and Physical Requirements
- Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment and may require sitting and working at a computer for extended periods.
- Must be able to review detailed technical information on computer screens, drawings, reports, and other documents.
- Must be able to communicate professionally by telephone, electronically, and in person.
- Use of a personal mobile device is required for multi-factor authentication.
- Must be able to drive a personal or rental vehicle when required for the assignment.
