A CNC Programmer programs computer-controlled equipment used to cut wood, plastic, or metal according to precise measurements, or equipment used for different manufacturing processes.
Machinists Incorporated is seeking an experienced CNC Mill Programmer with advanced Siemens NX experience to program complex prototype, one-off, and low-volume precision components for the aerospace, defense, marine, energy, and heavy equipment industries.
Responsibilities:
Create, modify, and optimize CNC programs using Siemens
NX CAD/CAM
Program 3-axis, 4-axis, 5-axis, and mill-turn machining centers Develop machining strategies for billets, weldments, and assemblies Select tooling, workholding, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters Troubleshoot machining and programming issues Verify toolpaths through simulation Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and manufacturing teams
Qualifications:
5-10 years of CNC programming experience Expert-level Siemens NX programming skills Experience in a job shop, prototype, or high-mix/low-volume environment Strong knowledge of multi-axis machining, tooling, and machining strategies Ability to read complex engineering drawings and CAD models Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills
Preferred Experience:
Aerospace or precision manufacturing Complex prototypes, gears, splines, weldments, and exotic materials CNC milling and mill-turn machining centers Join one of the Pacific Northwest's largest precision machining companies and program challenging, high-precision components using state-of-the-art technology. $55.00 - $60.00 per hour
