Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated CNC Machinist, Programmer to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines to produce precision-engineered components. Your expertise in CNC programming, tooling, and machining will ensure high-quality production while maintaining safety and efficiency standards. Responsibilities Program CNC machines such as lathes and milling machines using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software and G-code to produce complex parts with precision. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings, utilizing GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) standards to ensure accuracy. Set up CNC equipment by installing tooling, fixtures, and calibrating machines according to specifications. Monitor machining processes to maintain quality standards, making adjustments as needed for optimal performance. Perform routine maintenance on CNC machinery and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime. Use precision measuring instruments such as bore gauges, micrometers, calipers, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to verify part dimensions. Collaborate with design engineers using CAD software like AutoCAD and SolidWorks to review designs and optimize machining strategies. Apply lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste throughout the machining process. Maintain detailed documentation of production activities, inspection reports, and machine logs in compliance with quality standards. Skills Proficiency in CNC programming languages such as G-code and M-code; experience with Fanuc controls is highly desirable. Strong knowledge of blueprint reading, schematics, and technical drawings with an understanding of GD&T principles. Experience operating CNC milling machines and CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment. Familiarity with CAM programming software for toolpath generation and optimization. Mechanical knowledge related to tooling selection, setup procedures, and machining operations. Skilled in using precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, dial indicators, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Ability to interpret electrical schematics and schematics related to machine wiring or control systems; experience with electrical discharge machining (EDM) is a plus. Knowledge of CAD software such as AutoCAD or SolidWorks for design review and modification purposes. Understanding of lean manufacturing techniques aimed at continuous improvement. Strong math skills including geometry calculations necessary for precise machining tasks.
