Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and energetic Painter and Body Technician to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their optimal condition through expert bodywork, painting, and finishing techniques. Your expertise will ensure that every vehicle leaving our shop meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and aesthetic appeal. Duties Perform automotive structural repairs using sheet metal fabrication, MIG welding, soldering, and welding repair techniques to restore vehicle integrity. Conduct auto body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, and alignment adjustments with precision and attention to detail. Prepare surfaces through sanding, sanding tools, and automotive cosmetic repair methods to ensure smooth finishes before painting. Apply auto paint using airless paint spraying equipment or other automotive body refinishing techniques to achieve a flawless finish. Install automotive parts such as auto glass, trim pieces, and other components with proper auto parts installation procedures. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and automotive welding equipment to complete repairs efficiently while maintaining safety standards. Perform auto restoration projects by assessing damage, fabricating repairs, and restoring vehicles to their original condition or better. Conduct vehicle maintenance checks post-repair to ensure proper function and customer satisfaction. Assist in auto estimating processes by accurately assessing damages and recommending necessary repairs. Provide excellent customer service by explaining repair processes clearly and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded. Qualifications Proven experience working as an automotive body technician or in a similar role within a dealership or independent shop environment. Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and automotive cosmetic repair techniques. Proficiency with MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and the use of automotive welding equipment. Familiarity with sheet metal work, auto painting methods including airless spray systems, and auto restoration projects. Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and heavy lifting equipment safely and effectively. Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems for troubleshooting during repairs. Experience with auto glass installation and automotive parts installation is preferred. Excellent attention to detail with a focus on quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. Strong communication skills for working collaboratively with team members and explaining repairs to customers.
