Industrial Painter - Steel Building Manufacturing Bigbee Steel Buildings is seeking a dependable Industrial Painter to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for preparing and painting structural steel and other components used in pre-engineered metal buildings. Responsibilities Apply paint and coatings to structural steel and metal components Use industrial spray painting equipment safely and effectively Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and other preparation as needed Mix and prepare paints and coatings according to specifications Inspect painted materials to ensure proper coverage and finish Maintain and clean painting equipment and work areas Follow all company safety procedures and requirements Perform other production-related duties as needed Requirements Must be physically able and medically qualified to wear a respirator Must be able to properly wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) Ability to work around paint, coatings, fumes, and industrial equipment Ability to stand for extended periods and perform physical work throughout the shift Ability to lift and handle materials as required Dependable attendance and willingness to work as part of a team Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures Industrial, structural steel, or manufacturing painting experience is preferred, but training may be available for the right candidate Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Industrial spray painting Structural steel painting Airless paint sprayers Paint preparation and mixing Steel fabrication or metal building manufacturing Manufacturing or production environments What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, pays attention to detail, works safely, and can consistently produce a quality finish on structural steel components.
