Overview We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and experience in both residential and commercial settings. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes that meet our clients' standards. The Painter will work closely with other tradespeople on construction sites, contributing to the overall success of projects. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and caulking as necessary. Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or airless paint spraying equipment. Perform touch-ups and repairs on existing painted surfaces. Collaborate with carpenters and other trades to ensure seamless integration of painting with remodeling and construction activities. Estimate materials needed for jobs and assist in construction estimating processes. Maintain a clean and organized work area on construction sites. Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment at all times. Skills Proficiency in various painting techniques including industrial painting and airless paint spraying. Experience with remodeling projects and frame carpentry is preferred. Strong maintenance person skills with knowledge of trim carpentry and plastering techniques. Familiarity with caulking methods to ensure proper sealing of surfaces. Ability to read blueprints and understand construction site requirements. Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work. Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with team members on-site.
