Job Description

- Posted on August 27, 2026 Published By Jaime Peterson Trillium Construction is now hiring Industrial Painters in the Tuscaloosa, AL area! Work will take place in an industrial setting. Pay is $24
- 26 per hour depending on experience.
Duties:
- Surface Preparation
- —Clean surfaces using solvents, detergents, sandblasting, pressure washing or grinding equipment. —Remove rust, old paint, grease, dirt and other contaminants. —Fill cracks, holes, and imperfections with appropriate materials. —Mask and cover areas that should not be painted.
- Coating Application
- —Apply primers, paints, epoxies, urethanes, and specialty coatings. —Operate spray guns, rollers, brushes, and other painting equipment. —Mix paints and coatings. —Apply coatings to the proper thickness and ensure consistent coverage.
- Equipment Operation
- —Set up and maintain spray painting equipment. —Use air compressors, sandblasters, pressure washers, and lifting equipment. —Work with ladders, scaffolding, aerial lifts, or elevated platforms.
- Inspection and Quality Control
- —Inspect surfaces before and after painting.
Qualifications:
- 6+months industrial painting experience.
- Must be able to work with hand tools.
- Must be able to work with overhead cranes.
- Demonstrated proficiency reading and interpreting work orders and drawings.
- Able to work independently or as a team player.
- Perform work standing up in work cell for 8-10 hours per day and up to 6 days a week.
