Job Title:
Industrial Painter Job Description As an Industrial Painter, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint and protective coatings to metal and other materials. Your role is crucial in ensuring the quality and consistency of painted surfaces, while also preventing corrosion and environmental damage. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, masking, and applying appropriate treatments for proper paint adhesion. Operate and maintain industrial painting equipment, including spray guns and paint brushes, to apply primers, sealers, and topcoats. Mix and match paint colors and finishes according to specifications to ensure quality and consistency. Inspect painted surfaces for quality, uniformity, and coverage, making touch-ups or corrections as needed. Apply protective coatings to surfaces to prevent corrosion, wear, and environmental damage. Follow safety protocols and use personal protective equipment (PPE) for a safe working environment. Maintain clean and organized work areas and properly store paints, solvents, and tools. Perform routine maintenance on painting equipment and report any malfunctions or needed repairs. Essential Skills Experience in painting and industrial painting, with a preference for at least 1+ years of experience. Ability to read and interpret work orders related to painting specifications and surface preparation. Additional Skills & Qualifications Demonstrated ability to ensure consistency and quality in paint finishes. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Tuscaloosa, AL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $28.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
