Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Sandblasting Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing tank surfaces through controlled abrasive blasting processes, ensuring optimal surface cleanliness and readiness for coating and finishing. Your expertise will help maintain our commitment to safety, quality, and precision in every product we deliver. Responsibilities Operate sandblasting equipment safely and efficiently to clean and prepare tank surfaces according to specified standards Adhere strictly to personal protective equipment (PPE) protocols, including respirator use and respiratory protection measures Interpret production documents to ensure correct blasting procedures are followed for each project Use hand tools, power tools, and abrasive media to remove rust, paint, or other surface contaminants Conduct visual color comparisons and surface inspections to verify cleanliness and readiness for coating application Handle materials carefully using appropriate handling techniques and machinery such as forklifts when necessary Maintain a clean work environment, follow safety protocols, and document process steps accurately Skills Proficiency with conventional sandblasting techniques and airless paint spraying methods Mechanical knowledge of equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting Familiarity with manufacturing safety standards and PPE use, including respirators and protective clothing Ability to interpret technical drawings, production documents, and specifications Basic math skills for measurement tasks and process calculations Experience with powder coating, industrial painting, construction painting surface preparation, and coating application methods Knowledge of materials handling procedures and the use of precision measuring instruments for quality assurance Join our team as a Sandblasting Technician to play a vital role in producing durable tanks that meet the highest standards of safety and quality.
