Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic manufacturing team as an Industrial Painter, where your expertise will bring precision and quality to our industrial projects. In this role, you'll be responsible for properly preparing surfaces, selecting and mixing appropriate paint to a variety of industrial equipment, machinery, and fabricated structures. Your skills in painting, materials handling, and mechanical knowledge will ensure that our products meet the highest standards of durability and appearance. Duties Reading blueprints and drawings to understand the painting requirements Preparing steel surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, grinding and applying primers Selecting and mixing appropriate paints and other coatings according to specifications Applying paints and other coatings using a variety of tools, such as sprayers, brushes, and rollers Setting up and maintaining painting equipment Ensuring that painted surfaces meet quality standards and that paint application is uniform and free of bubbles and debris Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to safety procedures and regulations Inspecting final product for any inconsistencies or defects Performing minor repair work on surfaces to be painted Documenting completed work and maintaining records of materials used Dispose of unused paint appropriately by following all safety regulations and guidelines Apply industrial coatings using airless paint spraying equipment, brushes, rollers, or other methods suitable for the project requirements. Operate forklifts, cranes, and other materials handling equipment safely to move materials and finished products within the facility. Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments to verify coating thickness and surface finish standards. Collaborate with fabrication and assembly teams to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety guidelines and lean manufacturing principles. Requirements High School Diploma Reliable transportation Strong work ethic and attention to detail Proven experience in industrial painting or commercial preferred Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, airless paint sprayers, welding equipment, and basic shop machinery safely and effectively. Familiarity with forklift operation, crane use, and warehouse experience for materials handling purposes. Strong understanding of safety procedures related to working with hazardous materials and operating heavy equipment. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and quality control inspections. Mechanical knowledge related to manufacturing processes, machining, welding, and fabrication techniques. Commitment to professionalism, safety, and quality craftsmanship Must be able to pass a
