This full-time position offers competitive starting pay, full benefits, steady Monday-Friday hours, and excellent opportunity for growth. The successful candidate will have extensive automotive refinishing experience and will be responsible for preparing and painting aluminum sheet metal panels used in our vehicle manufacturing process. This individual will work closely with our manufacturing team to ensure all painted components meet A-1's high quality standards. Job Duties Prepare aluminum sheet metal panels for primer and paint Clean, sand, scuff, and properly prepare aluminum surfaces Apply epoxy primer, primer surfacer, and sealers as required Perform all post-primer sanding and surface preparation Mix automotive primers and topcoats according to manufacturer specifications Spray automotive basecoat and clearcoat finishes Hang, stage, and remove parts from paint booth Inspect painted parts for defects and perform touch-up work when necessary Maintain consistent color match and finish quality Maintain paint booth, spray guns, and related equipment Follow all company safety procedures and environmental regulations Keep work area clean and organized Assist with other manufacturing duties as needed Job Requirements Minimum of 5 years of professional automotive painting experience (Required) Extensive experience with automotive paint preparation techniques Experience painting aluminum panels and sheet metal Ability to perform complete refinishing process from raw metal through final topcoat Experience using HVLP spray equipment Strong understanding of automotive primers, sealers, basecoats, and clearcoats Ability to identify and correct paint defects Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work Ability to work independently with minimal supervision Excellent work ethic and reliability Ability to work well as part of a team Ability to stand, bend, lift, and work in a manufacturing environment for extended periods Must have a valid driver's license Compensation and Benefit Plan Competitive hourly wage based on experience Paid Holidays & PTO Matching 401(k) Retirement Program Company subsidized medical insurance plan Company dental and vision insurance plans 401(k) end-of-year profit sharing
