Job Overview We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Paint Prepper to join our bicycle frame repair, restoration, and custom painting team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing bicycle frame surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality. Your expertise in surface preparation, masking, sanding, and handling various painting tools will be essential to delivering top-tier results. Responsibilities Prepare bicycle frame surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying masking materials to ensure smooth paint application Use hand tools, power tools, and spray guns for surface smoothing and finishing tasks Mask off areas that do not require painting using surface preparation masking techniques Sand surfaces meticulously to remove imperfections and create an ideal base for painting or coating Assist with bicycle frame repair tasks such as carbon repair shaping, paint chip sanding, and minor repairs as needed Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols including respiratory protection measures Skills / Experience Prior automotive surface repair experience preferred, but we can train individuals who have the patience and right attitude to learn. Hands-on experience with auto restoration or auto body refinishing techniques a plus. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, grinders, buffing equipment, and spray guns Knowledge of automotive surface preparation processes including sanding, masking, and painting Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks throughout the workday Familiarity with automotive buffing, detailing, auto painting, and auto estimating is advantageous Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients Graphic design skills and experience also a plus. Pay:
