Task Description:

Aircraft Painter Aircraft, Painter (23050): The Aircraft Painter coats surfaces of aircraft with paint, lacquer, epoxy, resin, or other material, using brushes, rollers, spray guns and other devices, removes old paint from aircraft, using liquid paint remover and scraper. Smooths surface with sandpaper and steel wool, roughens aluminum surfaces with acid solution and steel wool to ensure that paint adheres to surface, masks and covers portions of surfaces not to be painted, and paint insignia, letters or numerals on aircraft surface, using stencils.

Skills and Knowledge:

The Contractor shall be able to provide Intermediate level (I-Level) repair support for the T56 Power Section Assembly (PSA), T56 Reduction Gear Assembly (RGA), T56 Torquemeter (T/M), T56 Turbine Unit Change Assembly (TUCA) and T-56 Quick Engine Change Assembly (QECA). All these items comprise the

QECA and Modules Technical Directive compliance and modifications Paint support for repairing, maintaining, modifying, and overhauling aircraft engines and engine modules not mounted on aircraft. Foreign Object Damage (FOD) prevention Use Personal Protective Equipment as appropriate for task(s) Use HAZMAT as appropriate for task(s) Perform general housekeeping. Perform other duties as assigned or directed.

Preferred Personnel Qualifications:

Advanced Corrosion Control/Paint and Final Finish Basic Qualifications:

Aviation Paint and Final Finish qualification. Must be able to work 1st or 2nd shift schedule if required. Must be able to work flexible work-week schedules i.e. M-F or as required. Must be able to pass a background check. Must be able to obtain favorable National Agency Check with Written Inquires (NACI). Must be able to climb ladders, raised platforms, and aircraft. Must be able to use hand and power tools. Must have dexterity to handle small parts. All Contractors are required to have a Common Access Card (CAC) and shall be required to pass the equivalent of a trustworthy National Agency Check plus Written Inquiries with Credit Check (NACI), IAW

"Next Generation Common Access Card (CAC) Implementation Guidance", or latest guidance, prior to being allowed to work under task order PWS. Compensation $43.05/hour Other Compensation Employees receive a health and welfare benefit of $8.85 per hour paid up to 40 hours per week.
