Full Job Description Description:
Job Summary This role will be responsible for applying paint, enamel, lacquer, or other nonmetallic protective coatings to surfaces of various helicopter rotor blades with a high level of quality and accuracy. Prepares area(s) to be painted by cleaning, or if necessary, scraping, sanding, patching, and masking of adjacent surfaces prior to painting, papering, texturing, etc. Maintains inventory of paint, paint brushes, and other painting supplies in accordance with Management's instructions. Select appropriate paint or mix paints using automated paint mixing equipment according to a pre-determined formula. Monitors valves and gauges during operation to eliminate defects. Adjusts spray flow, air circulation, and temperature of the spray gun. Follows
OSHA/MSDS
guidelines with respect to use of hazardous chemicals; uses proper ventilation when using paint removers, varnishes, cleaners, etc. Prepare & supply stencils, computer-generated decals or other decorative items on finished products. Clean & maintain painting and coating, ventilation, compressed air and personal protective equipment Familiarizes him/herself with storage and disposal laws, regulations, codes, etc. The company reserves the right to add or change duties at any time
Requirements:
Job Qualifications Education:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred Experience:
5 years related work experience in paint General knowledge of hand tools & paint shop equipment operation. Skills/Requirements Proven experience in painting or a related field. Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to use hand tools effectively. Familiarity with materials handling procedures is preferred. Ability to work in a warehouse environment safely and efficiently. Excellent time management Excellent judgement and decision-making abilities Excellent critical thinking Ability to follow instructions and perform duties according to manuals and specifications. Physical Requirements Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks. Capable of lifting and carrying painting equipment and materials. Comfortable working in a noisy and sometimes fume-filled environment. Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity for precise painting tasks.
